Cantilever Rack
Cantilever rack is a type of storage system used to store long, bulky or awkward items, such as pipe, conduit, sheet metal, threaded rod, etc.
Cantilever rack consists of a series of steel columns with bases in L-shape or T-shape configurations, depending on whether it is designed for single sided storage or double sided storage. Support arms are added to the columns to support the loads. The columns with bases are evenly spaced according to the load intended to be stored. Bracing panels are added between the columns to better support the designed loads in the lateral direction. The design of a cantilever rack system allows for easy loading of long bulky items because there are no cross braces or uprights in the way of loading. This makes it a popular storage medium for warehouse and manufacturing environments.
